fractal

There are times
I call out
As if in the valley
Between two mountains
Or a cavernous place
Full of echoes
When I’ve forgotten
My own divine nature
That I am a fractal
Of light and dark
Wearing a human suit
That has absorbed
A lifetime of experience
And I call out
Because I forget
Or I believe the lies
Swimming in my mind
Because I need to hear
The voice of god
But the gap between us isn’t real

I hear my own voice
Coming back
Like a boomerang
And I realize
It was me all along
But not the me that I believed
The me who is a fractal
Who never began
And will never end
Looping around and around
Whole
And full of every answer
To every question
